What, No "Indoctrination" Scares This Year?

So President Obama gave his second "back to school" address today, and it came and went with relatively little hubbub.  I was curious though, what made this year different from last year?  Why weren't there any outraged, screaming parents this year?  Well the answer is simple: They weren't told to freak out this year.  






Last September, everyone from Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin to Michelle Malkin and Sean Hannity was freaking out and barking marching orders to their loyal followers to not allow their children listen to the President's speech lest they be brainwashed into becoming Socialists.  





But this year, there were no rumors of "indoctrination," no shout-a-paloozas of "brainwashing."  Beck did not froth at the mouth, Palin's voice did not shatter any glass, and Malkin's eyes remained in their sockets, and the President was able to address the nation's students in the dignified manner befitting a President.
